TIFFANY JUSTISS: REGISTERED DIAGNOSTIC CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER (RDCS)

Tiffany Justiss is a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  She has been employed with Cardiology of Central Alabama since September 2008. In her role with CCA, Tiffany performs all ultrasounds including cardiac echo (2D, 3D & 4D), stress echocardiography, carotid duplex scanning with blood flow index, and arterial and venous studies. She completes holter monitors and event recorders examinations.  Tiffany maintains quality control of all equipment and quality assurance of the echocardiogram laboratory. She is currently in the process of assisting CCA in achieving accreditation from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocarcardiography (ICAEL) and (ICAVL) Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories. Tiffany assists patients with any and all questions regarding testing procedures and their results. She also routinely assists in stress testing procedures and document reporting for all the examinations previously mentioned.

Prior to joining Cardiology of Central Alabama Tiffany worked 5 years for Russell Medical Center. She worked in the Echocardiogram/Catheterization Laboratory assisting in cardiac services which included transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), 2D echocardiography, catheterization lab monitoring, and holter monitors. She also completed coding of all heart catheterization procedures.

Tiffany currently resides in Elmore County with her husband and daughter.  She is a current member of the Society of Echocardiography and certified in Basic Life Saving (BLS) skills. When not working she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, gardening, hunting and reading.
