JHANTE’ KING: BOARD CERTIFIED NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST
Jhante’ King is a Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and has been employed with Cardiology of Central Alabama since July 2008. She graduated with an Associate of Science Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida in June 2008. While in school she received comprehensive training in the nuclear medicine field with clinical positions at North Florida Regional Medical Center, Malcolm Randall VA Hospital, Shands Medical Center and Plaza, Munroe Regional Medical Center, and Shands at Alachua General Hospital. She also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Humanities and Science from Santa Fe College received December 2003.
In her role as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Jhante’ maintains all Radioactive Materials license requirements and quality control, performs quality control testing on the nuclear imaging camera and other lab equipment, prepares and administers radiotracers for patients, sets patient’s I.V., provides thorough explanations of the test and answers any questions the patient may have, documents reports, acquires and processes myocardial perfusion studies, assists and oversees stress lab, and ensures every patient receives the highest quality test possible.
Jhante’ currently resides in Alexander City, Alabama with her husband James King. She is a current member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society Alumni. When not working she enjoys hiking with her husband and their Border Collie in the Alabama State parks, horseback riding, travel, and various arts & crafts.
