SANDY D. SUBLETT, MSN, CRNP: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Sandy Donellan Sublett is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner based in Alexander City, Alabama. She is employed by Cardiology of Central Alabama, P.C. and has had extensive training in the cardiology field. Since graduating from nursing school in 1987, Sandy has also worked in many different nursing roles including critical care nursing, nurse clinician, quality improvement coordinator, and also Director of Nursing. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner Certificate from University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1999.
In her current role as nurse practitioner in interventional cardiology, Sandy serves to promote continuity of care throughout the patient’s cardiac hospitalization by facilitating communication between the physician and the patient and/or family. She also serves as liaison between the hospital and referring physician. A key facet of her role is patient and family education. Sandy applies the principles of assessment, diagnosis and treatment while caring for her own clinic patients. These duties combine with her special training in preventive medicine and cardiology based wellness programs help to keep her patients well.
Sandy currently resides in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. She serves on the University of Alabama Nursing Alumni Board and is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She has four grown children and two teenagers at home. When not working, Sandy enjoys playing music, tennis, spinning, and spending time with family.
